Davis, your last few blogs are probably some of your best. As a former DOM, I constantly said the basic things you are saying (but better than I said them) repeatedly to new pastors and staff members. Some listened, some didn't, but the listerners made a difference.

Louis,

Thanks so much. I had some good cold calls last night and today already.

All we can do is try.

"Accentuate the difference in you and your work. Why should someone be attracted to what you say, to you, to your place of worship? If you cannot tell this in one sentence, you need to get it that way. Say your one sentence more than once in an interview."

What is your one sentence?

I am sure glad you added the second part during that first part I was sure I would have to buy a bicycle, white shirt and tie. I might fall off the bicycle.

Good stuff for sure... This waas a good dose of "Pastoral Visitaion 101" and class is in session!!

Think of this -- Can you imagine what would happen if all church staff, and a large number of our church members did exactly what you wrote here!? We would revolutionize our state for Jesus and make a large dent in the 12,000,000 plus lost and unchurched population in a rapid fashion.

Good blog my friend!

BT,

You are a soul-winning dude. I take this as high praise indeed.
