Where, when, and $100?

Sounds like Heaven on earth...wait that can't be then there would be no need of the real thing. It sounds Methodist yeah thats it. I think maybe Gene Wood can help let's have all of our pastors go through his "Leading TurnAround Churches". It could change everything except those that don't want to change...well that could be a problem. Let's strive for church health NO One wants to take that spotted elephant out of the closet.
OK OK first we better get something in place to care for the caretakers. That sounds like a graveyard or golf course position. So minister care here we come. Ready or not.

... wondering what happened to the Spiritual Samuria? Is he out there? Is he OK? Let us hear from you. You are a brother in Christ and we do wonder @ you ...

Good article Rick. Too many are being pushed, forced, coerced and driven from churches for no other reason except that they can. And the called of God suffer in silence. While those churches continue to drive more and more pastors away from church work.
Is it any wonder why the church today has such a poor and pitiful image? Shame on the church!! It is His church or is it?

I think we have a way to fix all this mess.

We will need a thousand per man or church. NO one will be turned away because of money

Lets take care of ministers and let ministers take care of the churches. Lets take care of preachers, since no one else does it. Lets not mount our horse and ride off in all directions. Lets reinvent the wheel and make some improvements.

So, what are the priorities? How many are too many?

I'm thinking:
1. Ministerial health/accountability
2. Continuing Edu, sharpening our tool set.
3. Mentoring, which may be a generational thing with me.
4. Good Ministerial/Church Practices.

More?

Rick, where did you get the number 3 to represent the years pastors are remaining in one church? Ellison Research puts the average tenure of Southern Baptist Pastors at 7.6. Many do last less than three years but many go well beyond.
